No Job Too Big or Small
Integrabuild completes asbestos removal for residential, commercial, industrial and government sites of all sizes. We’ve worked on hotels, large factories, institutional buildings, insurance claims and local council contracts throughout the Whitsundays region.
No job is too large or too small. Our team safely removes all forms of bonded and friable asbestos including: roofs, gutters, pipes, fences, eaves, soffits, ceilings (including vermiculite), wall linings, vinyl flooring, bathroom and shed linings, electrical boxes and contaminated cement sheeting. We provide end-to-end service, managing both disposal and remediation to ensure your site is clean and safe.
What makes us different is the level of care we take in every step. Integrabuild operates with precision and efficiency, giving clients peace of mind knowing the job is completed by licensed professionals.
We also help clients avoid major risks. Unlicensed asbestos work is illegal and dangerous—and appointing an unlicensed removalist can lead to significant WorkSafe fines. We strongly encourage every property owner to check credentials before starting asbestos-related work.
With Integrabuild, you can be sure your project meets strict health and safety requirements—every time. Book a consultation today and we’ll talk you through the safest path forward.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have asbestos in my home or workplace?
Was your house, shed or office built before 1990? If so, it is likely that it would have some asbestos-containing materials. Approximately one third of all homes in Australia contain asbestos products.
Where can asbestos commonly be found?
Asbestos or asbestos-containing materials are commonly found in the following areas:
- Roofing & gutters
- Gables & eaves
- Walls
- Vinyl, carpet & tile underlay
- Lining behind wall tiles
- Imitation brick cladding
- Fencing
- Sheds
- Splashbacks in wet areas
- Telecommunications pits
- Some window putty
- Expansion joints
- Packing under beams
- Concrete formwork
Are my family members and myself in any danger?
Asbestos alone can be considered to be quite harmless. The potential problem begins when asbestos ages or is disrupted, such as during repairs, restoration or renovation projects. If the situation is not properly handled, asbestos can cause life-threatening illnesses.
What are my legal obligations?
A total ban on asbestos came into effect in Australia on 31 December 2003. It is illegal to make it, use it or import it from another country.
It is also illegal to remove more than 10 square metres of non-friable asbestos and hefty fines are issued if you engage an unlicensed person to handle and remove the asbestos.
For the removal of more than 10 square metres of non-friable asbestos, you must engage a licensed removalist to handle or remove any asbestos.
NOTE: If you are removing less than 10 square metres of non-friable asbestos it is still highly recommended that you engage a licensed removalist.
